About Cornerstone Nursery
At Cornerstone Day Nursery & Pre-school, we provide full daycare for 5 months to 5-year-old babies and children. It is spacious, comfortable, bright and welcoming, situated away from noise and traffic.
Our Nursery reflects a calm, friendly and home-like atmosphere which cultivates a sense of security in children and helps transition between the home and school.
we aim at providing every opportunity for your child to grow/develop in a secure, friendly, caring and stimulating environment. As a team, we are committed to getting the best out of the children in our care by responding to their individual needs, building their self-esteem and their confidence to try, and employing them in interesting and challenging activities.
We are registered with Ofsted and conform to the Childrens acts 1989 and 2004.
More About UsOur Rooms
Apple Room
5 to 18 months. This is our baby room where we introduce children to the transition from home. Staff have gained additional training to work with babies. Activities are mainly sensorial with treasure baskets and large loose parts resources. We provide nappies as part of the service for all children in this room.
Banana Room
19 to 30 months. This is our Early Toddlers room which we also refer to as the ‘Prep room’ for preschool. Here we introduce boundaries; social skills and we get them ready for the transition to pre-school room. We have Reggio Emilia sessions daily in this room to encourage critical thinking.
Strawberry Room
30 to 60 months. This is where we prepare children for reception and primary school. Opportunities are provided by the practitioners in all the seven areas of development and children are supported in a variety of ways to enhance learning, well -being and all round development.

Admissions
We accept children from 5 months to 5 years
